The Community Organizer will be vital in advancing campaigns led by Families In Schools, such as Read LA!, a campaign ensuring all children in Los Angeles can read and thrive. This role focuses on mobilizing community members and families to advocate for policies and programs to close equity gaps in students’ academic success. The Community Organizer will engage parents and communities in collective action, drive grassroots efforts, and work to identify and cultivate local leaders. The ideal candidate will have a community-organizing background and a deep commitment to family engagement and educational equity.

This full-time position reports to the Senior Campaign Director.

Compensation: The hourly range for the Community Organizer is Nonexempt; $55,000-$60,000 a year, commensurate with experience.
