FIS Welcomes Phuong Vuong to its Board of Directors

Families In Schools (FIS) is pleased to announce the newest member of our Board of Directors, Phuong Vuong. With her experience in public school leadership development at The Broad Center, her time on the board of Citizens of the World Los Angeles, and her drive to improving student success, Phuong brings tremendous dedication, engagement, and passion to FIS.

Phuong Vuong

Phuong Vuong is a Director at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where she leads strategic initiatives and talent management across major U.S. markets. In her role, she serves on the Management Team and partners with senior leaders to drive organizational strategy, transformational growth, and develop high-performing teams.

Phuong brings a strong commitment to education and equity. Prior to BCG, she worked at The Broad Center, where she supported the development of senior leaders in public school systems, helping to strengthen district leadership and improve student outcomes. She also served on the board of Citizens of the World Los Angeles, further deepening her engagement in advancing educational opportunities ensuring all students can succeed.

As a proud first-generation college graduate, immigrant, and previous English Learner who was educated in LAUSD, Phuong is passionate about advancing Families In Schools’ mission to strengthen partnerships between families, educators, and communities to support student success.

Phuong holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
